Teenager denies vandalising mosque in 'hate crime'

by Matthew

A teenager has denied vandalising a mosque in Aberdeen.

Jayden Wallace, 18, is accused of throwing paint at Aberdeen Mosque and Islamic Centre as well as smashing a window with a rock in March.

The charge states it would be proved under the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 that it was aggravated by prejudice.

Mr Wallace pled not guilty at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and the case was continued until later in the year.
