Road closed due to sink hole

A road in the Lake District has been closed due to a sink hole.

Westmorland and Furness Council said the sink hole appeared due to a damaged culvert in the U5795 Ings to Troutbeck road, north of Windermere.

The council said its teams were responding.

A spokesperson said the route has been shut and advised people to avoid the area.
